The Bothy is situated in a quiet and historic area of Skye known as The Braes
on a road which ends at Loch Sligachan. It is close to working crofts with usually
more sheep on the road than cars.
Many lovely beach and hill walks are readily accessible and the strange winged-shaped promontory called The Aird which can be seen from all the rooms in the house has fascinating caves and rocks to explore and is a few minutes walk away.
Skye's busy and attractive capital, Portree, is only 7 miles away and offers holiday makers all amenities in a friendly and welcoming environment.
