If your interests are hill-walking, bird-watching, photography, fishing, star gazing (an ideal low light pollution area), or just relaxing with a good book, the Bothy will provide the perfect setting for your holiday. It is comfortable for a family holiday or a romantic getaway.

There is garden furniture for sunny days and long summer evenings, while in the winter it is cosy and warm with heating in all rooms and hot water bottles provided.

We operate a strictly no smoking policy which we ask our guests to observe.

By prior arrangement one well behaved dog can be accommodated, but we ask guests not to allow their pet upstairs or on any of the furniture; a dog guard is provided.

The Bothy is reached along the B883, a winding single track country lane, and is only 7 miles from Portree, the colourful capital of the island which offers a wide range of shops and services.

An enclosed porch and entrance hall lead to an open plan kitchen, dining room and sitting room all of which enjoy extensive sea views.

The light and airy sitting room has French windows leading out to a panoramic view. It is comfortably furnished, with TV, DVD, radio/CD player and has an extensive selection of both fiction and non-fiction books.

Guests are welcome to make use of the comprehensive maps, guidebooks of Skye and tide tables. Information is also available on the restaurants, amenities and attractions of Skye.

The open plan dining area seats six in a windowed bay. Guests spend many happy hours watching activity on the bird table and looking out to sea.

The kitchen is well equipped to a high standard; everything you need to feel this is home-from-home. The amenities include a dishwasher, fridge freezer, a microwave and separate hob and oven.

A Utility Room leads off the kitchen and gives access to the garden. It is equipped with washing machine and tumble drier.

The downstairs bedroom has double bed, chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe. Lie in bed and enjoy wonderful sea views!

The separate shower room has a power shower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail. It is adjacent to the downstairs bedroom, all on the same level as the reception rooms, making the cottage suitable for guests with limited mobility.

The master bedroom upstairs has twin beds, his-and-hers wardrobes, a chest of drawers and bookcase. A travel cot is available for use in this room as well as a clock/radio and hairdryer.

The ensuite bathroom has bath, toilet, basin and heated towel rail.

The second room upstairs has twin beds, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a desk in the window where authors have found inspiration from the lovely view.
